Made It Home Terms of Service
Last Updated: July 1, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Made It Home, including our mobile applications, website, features, content, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
The Service is operated by Gigi Digital (“Gigi Digital,” “Made It Home,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By creating an account, accessing, downloading, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What Made It Home Does
Made It Home is a connection and coordination app designed to help users stay connected with trusted people during temporary events.
Depending on the features available in your version of the app, users may be able to create events, invite contacts, share temporary location information, participate in event-based group chats, upload profile pictures, select destinations, receive event updates, and send alerts to invited event participants.
Made It Home is intended to support communication and coordination. It is not an emergency response service, security service, personal protection service, law enforcement service, medical service, crisis response service, professional monitoring service, or safety service.
The Service does not guarantee, provide, monitor, or ensure any user’s personal safety, security, wellbeing, transportation, arrival, or return home.
2. No Emergency Services
Made It Home does not replace 911, emergency services, law enforcement, medical assistance, professional security, crisis response, or any other emergency service.
If you are in danger, feel unsafe, or need urgent help, contact local emergency services immediately.
Unless we expressly state otherwise in writing, using an alert, panic, check-in, or similar feature in the Service does not automatically contact police, ambulance services, fire services, 911, emergency dispatch, or any professional emergency responder.
The panic alert feature is designed only to notify invited event participants. The app may provide an option to manually call emergency numbers, but Made It Home does not place emergency calls or dispatch assistance on your behalf.
We do not guarantee that an alert, panic notification, message, location update, arrival notification, or other communication will be sent, received, viewed, understood, or acted upon in time, or at all.
3. Not Designed for High-Risk or Emergency Use
The Service is not designed, intended, or warranted for use in high-risk, emergency, life-threatening, dangerous, or mission-critical situations where a failure, delay, inaccuracy, or interruption could lead to harm, injury, death, property damage, or other serious consequences.
You must not use the Service as your sole or primary safety plan, emergency plan, check-in system, security system, monitoring system, or method of confirming another person’s wellbeing.
If you believe that you or another person may be in danger, contact local emergency services immediately and use other reliable methods of communication.
4. Assumption of Risk
You understand that using Made It Home involves inherent risks, including risks associated with personal movement, transportation, social events, meeting other people, sharing location information, relying on mobile devices, and relying on digital communications.
You voluntarily choose to use the Service and assume the risks associated with your use of it, including the risk that location information may be inaccurate, alerts may fail, messages may be delayed, participants may not respond, a device may lose power, connectivity may be interrupted, or the Service may not operate as expected.
You are responsible for your decisions, movements, communications, transportation, personal safety, and actions before, during, and after using the Service.
5. No Responsibility for Real-World Events
Made It Home is a connection and coordination tool only.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Made It Home is not responsible for harm, danger, accident, injury, emergency, crime, assault, harassment, stalking, loss, property damage, emotional distress, death, or other real-world events that may occur before, during, or after use of the Service.
Made It Home is not responsible for the actions, inactions, availability, responses, or conduct of any user, invited participant, trusted contact, group member, driver, venue, date, event host, or other third party.
You should always use your own judgment, take appropriate precautions, and seek emergency assistance when needed.
6. Technical Limitations and Service Interruptions
You understand that the Service may experience delays, errors, outages, bugs, inaccurate data, failed notifications, failed messages, failed alerts, failed location updates, delayed location updates, incorrect arrival detection, or other technical issues.
Location sharing, alerts, panic notifications, event status updates, group chats, notifications, and “Made It Home” updates may not always work as intended.
These features depend on factors outside of our control, including your device, battery level, operating system, app permissions, GPS accuracy, network connection, internet access, carrier service, mapping services, notification services, third-party services, and app-store systems.
You should not rely on Made It Home as your only method of communication, location sharing, emergency response, or confirmation of another person’s wellbeing.
7. Eligibility
Made It Home is intended for users who are at least 18 years old.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, create events, invite participants, share location information, or otherwise independently use the Service.
By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms.
Parents or legal guardians may use the Service to create or manage events involving their minor children where they have the legal authority to do so and are responsible for obtaining any required consent.
Made It Home is not intended to permit minors to independently create accounts or use the Service without a parent or legal guardian.
8. Accounts
You may need to create an account to access certain features of the Service.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep your account information up to date.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.
You may not impersonate another person, create an account for another person without permission, or use the Service in a misleading, abusive, or unlawful way.
You may delete your account through the in-app Settings section. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription purchased through Apple, Google, or another payment provider.
9. Events, Groups, and Invited Participants
The Service may allow users to create temporary events and invite users or contacts to participate.
Events may include information such as a title, date, time, destination, invited participants, temporary location sharing, event updates, group chat messages, profile pictures, alerts, and other event details.
If you create an event, you are responsible for choosing who to invite and what information to share. You should only invite people you trust.
If you participate in an event, you may use information shared with you only for the purpose of participating in that event. You must not use the Service or any event information for harassment, stalking, surveillance, intimidation, exploitation, coercive control, abuse, or any other harmful purpose.
An event may remain active until relevant participants have completed the event, reached a selected destination, been marked safe, or the event is otherwise ended.
We do not guarantee that any event status, location update, group message, participant status, arrival detection, or completion status will be accurate, timely, complete, or available.
10. Location Sharing and Consent
The Service may include temporary location-sharing features.
Location accuracy depends on many factors, including device settings, GPS availability, network connectivity, operating system permissions, battery settings, and third-party services.
We do not guarantee that location information will be accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, or available at all times.
You are responsible for managing your device permissions and understanding when your location may be shared.
You must not use the Service to secretly track, monitor, or surveil another person without their knowledge and consent.
You may not create events, invite participants, share location information, or use the Service in a way that violates another person’s privacy, consent, legal rights, or personal boundaries.
Event creators and participants are responsible for understanding when location sharing is active and who may see that information. Participate in location-sharing events only with people you trust.
11. Contacts, Invitations, and Communications
With your permission, the Service may access your device contacts to help you invite people to events. You may also manually enter phone numbers or other invitation details.
You represent that you have the right to provide any contact information you submit through the Service and to invite those individuals.
The Service may send event invites, event start and end notifications, five-minute event reminders, chat messages, panic alerts, and “marked safe” updates.
You understand that notification delivery depends on device settings, internet connectivity, carrier services, and other technical factors, and may be delayed or unavailable.
12. Profile Pictures and User Content
The Service may allow you to upload a profile picture or other content, including messages, event details, notes, images, and location-related information (“User Content”).
You retain ownership of your User Content.
By submitting User Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, display, transmit, and use that User Content as necessary to operate, maintain, protect, improve, and provide the Service.
You represent that you own your User Content or have the necessary rights and permissions to submit it.
You may not upload or share content that is unlawful, misleading, abusive, sexually explicit, exploitative, hateful, harassing, invasive of another person’s privacy, or that violates another person’s intellectual property, publicity, privacy, or other legal rights.
Your profile picture may be visible to users with whom you interact through the Service, including people you invite to events, people who invite you to events, and event participants.
We may remove or restrict User Content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms, creates risk, or is inappropriate for the Service.
13. Data Retention
We may collect, process, store, and retain information necessary to operate the Service, including account information, event details, participant information, messages, activity records, alerts, and related metadata.
During an active event, location information may be streamed in real time. Location information is not automatically deleted immediately when an event ends, and there is currently no fixed retention period for all location-related data.
Completed events may remain in account history. Information retained in event history may include event titles, dates and times, destinations, participants, alerts, activity records, and related event metadata.
We do not retain GPS route history or safe-zone data as part of completed event history.
Event-based group chat data may be deleted when an event host ends the event in the app. We do not guarantee that messages or other event information will be deleted immediately in every circumstance.
For more information about how we collect, use, store, and disclose personal information, please review our Privacy Policy.
14. Third-Party Services
The Service may rely on third-party providers and services, including Supabase, Firebase, Amazon Web Services, Mapbox, RevenueCat, Twilio, Apple, Google, and payment providers.
Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms, privacy policies, and practices.
We are not responsible for third-party services, including their availability, reliability, security, content, policies, or actions.
15. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- use the Service for unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, stalking, exploitative, discriminatory, or invasive purposes;
- use the Service to track, monitor, or surveil anyone without consent;
- use the Service in connection with domestic abuse, dating violence, workplace harassment, coercive control, or any other harmful or non-consensual conduct;
- threaten, intimidate, shame, pressure, or control another person through the Service;
- create events, invite participants, share information, or use group chats in a manner that violates another person’s privacy, consent, legal rights, or personal boundaries;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service;
- attempt to access accounts, data, or systems without authorization;
- submit false, misleading, or harmful information;
- upload or share content that violates another person’s rights;
- reverse engineer, copy, resell, exploit, or misuse the Service;
- send spam, threats, or abusive messages; or
- use the Service in connection with illegal activity.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Service if we reasonably believe it is being used for stalking, harassment, coercive control, abuse, unauthorized tracking, unlawful activity, or another harmful purpose.
16. Subscriptions, Paid Features, Free Trials, and Billing
Certain features may require payment, including the ability to create events, use location sharing, or access premium features.
Only paid users may be able to create events and be tracked during active events, depending on the plan and features available at the time.
Users invited only to monitor or participate in an event may be able to participate without payment.
Payments may be processed through Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Stripe, or other payment providers. Your use of those payment services may be subject to separate terms and policies.
Subscription pricing, billing periods, trial terms, renewal terms, and cancellation options will be presented before purchase.
Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled.
If you begin a free trial, your subscription may automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before the trial ends.
You are responsible for reviewing the applicable trial terms and cancelling before the trial converts if you do not want to be charged.
Deleting the app, deleting your account, uninstalling the app, or stopping use of the Service may not automatically cancel a subscription.
If you purchased through Apple or Google, you must cancel through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. If you purchased directly through us or another payment provider, you must cancel through the method made available by us or that provider.
17. Refunds
Except where required by applicable law, all payments are final and non-refundable.
We do not provide refunds for subscriptions, trial conversions, renewals, unused time, accidental purchases, failure to cancel before a billing date, failure to cancel before a free trial converts, dissatisfaction with the Service, technical issues, delays, or app unavailability.
If you do not want to be charged after a free trial, you must cancel before the trial period ends.
Purchases made through Apple or Google may be handled by Apple or Google directly and may be subject to their own refund policies and processes. We do not control Apple’s or Google’s refund decisions.
Nothing in these Terms limits any refund, cancellation, or other consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
18. Availability and Changes to the Service
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
Some features may be experimental, in beta, part of an MVP, or unavailable in certain locations, on certain devices, or for certain users.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, accurate, or available at all times.
19. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and reliability.
We do not guarantee that the Service will prevent harm, ensure personal safety, provide emergency assistance, accurately identify a user’s location, confirm a user’s wellbeing, confirm that a user has made it home, or ensure that any person receives or responds to alerts, messages, or notifications.
You use the Service at your own risk.
20. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Made It Home and its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, partners, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages.
This includes damages related to lost profits, lost data, loss of goodwill, personal injury, emotional distress, property damage, failed communications, failed alerts, failed location sharing, inaccurate location data, delayed notifications, unauthorized use of images, or misuse of profile pictures.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for any claim arising from or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of:
- the amount you paid to us for the Service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim; or
- CAD $100.
Some jurisdictions do not permit certain limitations of liability. In those jurisdictions, our liability will be limited only to the extent permitted by law.
21. Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Made It Home and its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, partners, affiliates, licensors, and service providers from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from or related to your use of the Service, your User Content, your profile picture or other uploaded images, your violation of these Terms, your violation of applicable law or another person’s rights, your creation or management of an event, your invitation of participants, or your use of location sharing, alerts, group chats, or related features.
22. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Service if we reasonably believe that you violated these Terms, created risk for others, used the Service unlawfully, misused the Service, or harmed the Service or its users.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply, including sections relating to disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law, and dispute resolution.
23. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought in the courts located in Ontario, Canada, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
24. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Service, by email, or by another reasonable method.
Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective means that you accept the updated Terms.

Made It Home Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Gigi Digital (“Gigi Digital,” “Made It Home,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects personal information when you use the Made It Home mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. What Made It Home Does
Made It Home is a connection and coordination app designed to help users stay connected with trusted people during temporary events. Users may create events, invite participants, share live location during an active event, use group chats, set a home destination or safe zone, upload a profile picture, and send alerts to their selected trust circle.
Made It Home is not an emergency response service. It does not contact 911, law enforcement, medical services, private security services, or crisis-response services on your behalf. The Service is not a substitute for emergency services or for your own judgment in an emergency.
2. Personal Information We Collect
We collect personal information needed to provide and operate the Service.
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- First and last name
- Phone number
- Phone-based authentication information, including one-time password verification details
- Home address and home coordinates, where you choose to provide them for your safe zone
- Account setup status and subscription-access status
We do not currently require an email address to create an account. We do not currently offer Apple or Google account sign-in.
Profile Information
You may upload a profile picture. We store profile pictures through Supabase Storage and display them to people involved in your events or trust circle, including in chats, notifications, participant lists, and panic alerts.
Profile pictures are not intended to be public. You may replace your profile picture, but the Service may not currently offer a separate remove-only option. You may delete your account if you want to remove your account profile information.
Location Information
With your permission, we collect and process:
- Live GPS location during an active event
- Home, destination, and safe-zone coordinates
- Timestamps associated with live location updates
- A location snapshot connected to a panic alert, where available
Live location is collected only while an active event is in progress and location permission has been granted. Location sharing may continue in the background while the event remains active, depending on your device permissions and settings.
Location sharing stops when the event ends. The Service does not collect live location after an event ends or when the app is closed.
We do not maintain a full location-history trail for an event in our database. However, a panic-alert location snapshot may be retained until the relevant event or account is deleted.
Event Information
We collect information associated with events you create or join, including:
- Event title
- Event date and time
- Destination and safe-zone details
- Event creator and participant information
- Invited phone numbers
- Event status and completion status
- Arrival or “made it home” status
- Panic-alert history
- Completed-event history
Group Chat Information
When you use group chat features, we collect and store:
- Message content
- Message timestamps
- Sender and recipient information
- Images and attachments shared in chat
Chats are retained after an event ends and may remain accessible through the Service. Chat records are deleted when the related event or account is deleted, subject to technical limitations and applicable law.
Contacts and Invitation Information
With your permission, the Service may access your device contacts to help you select people to invite to an event. You may also enter phone numbers manually.
When you invite someone, we may store their phone number in connection with the event, including where that person has not created a Made It Home account.
Invitations may be delivered through push notifications for existing users or through your device’s native SMS functionality for non-users. We do not currently send invitation emails.
Notifications
We may send push notifications related to the Service, including:
- Event invitations
- New chat messages
- Panic alerts
We do not currently use push notifications for marketing, promotional messages, subscription reminders, or trial reminders.
Subscription Information
Paid subscriptions are processed through Apple In-App Purchases or Google Play Billing, using RevenueCat to manage subscription access.
We may receive or maintain limited subscription information, including:
- Subscription status
- Trial status
- Renewal or cancellation status
- Plan type
- Transaction-related identifiers supplied by RevenueCat or the applicable app store
We do not collect or store your full payment-card number, billing address, or tax information.
Technical Information
We do not use dedicated analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, or behavior-tracking tools.
Our service providers, including Supabase and AWS, may process limited technical information such as IP addresses and server logs as part of operating and securing their infrastructure.
Communications With Us
If you contact us for support, feedback, or another request, we may collect the information you provide, such as your name, phone number, message content, and related correspondence.
3. How We Use Personal Information
We use personal information to:
- Create and manage accounts
- Authenticate users by phone
- Provide event creation, invitations, chats, alerts, and temporary location-sharing features
- Display profile information to relevant event participants and trust-circle members
- Determine subscription access and paid-feature eligibility
- Send service-related push notifications
- Respond to support requests
- Prevent misuse, unauthorized tracking, harassment, fraud, or violations of our Terms of Service
- Maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements
We do not use personal information for targeted advertising, cross-app tracking, email marketing, or promotional push notifications.
4. How Location Sharing Works
Location sharing is optional and requires your device permission.
During an active event, your live location may be visible to the event participants or trust-circle members associated with that event. You should only share location with people you know and trust.
Location sharing is intended to be temporary. It starts only during an active event and stops when the event ends. The Service does not authorize secret, deceptive, or non-consensual tracking.
Location information may be inaccurate, delayed, unavailable, or incomplete due to device settings, GPS conditions, network connectivity, operating-system restrictions, battery limitations, permissions, or third-party service interruptions.
You can manage location permissions through your device settings.
5. Panic Alerts and Service Limitations
The Service may offer a panic-alert feature. When activated, the alert may notify the event creator and relevant trust-circle members. The alert may include the identity of the person who activated it, the related event, and an available location snapshot.
Made It Home does not automatically contact emergency services, police, 911, or other third parties when a panic alert is activated. The Service may provide a manual option to call emergency services from your device.
Alerts, location updates, messages, notifications, and event status updates may be delayed, inaccurate, unavailable, or not delivered. You should not rely on Made It Home as your sole method of communication, location sharing, emergency planning, or confirming another person’s well-being.
6. How We Share Personal Information
We may share personal information as follows.
With Event Participants and Trust-Circle Members
When you create or join an event, relevant information may be visible to other people involved in that event, including your name, profile picture, event status, messages, panic alerts, and live location during active location sharing.
With People You Invite
We may share information necessary to facilitate an invitation or event participation, such as your name, profile picture, event details, and relevant event status.
With Service Providers
We use service providers to operate the Service, including:
- Supabase for authentication, database services, and profile-photo storage
- AWS services, including AppSync and Cognito
- Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications
- Mapbox for map-related functionality
- RevenueCat for subscription management
- Apple and Google for in-app subscription purchases
These providers may process personal information only as needed to provide their services to us, subject to their own privacy terms and legal obligations.
For Legal, Security, and Protection Purposes
We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to valid legal process, enforce our Terms of Service, investigate misuse, prevent fraud, protect our rights or property, or help protect users and the public.
Business Transfers
If Gigi Digital is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Service, provide requested features, maintain event and chat functionality, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and prevent misuse.
Completed event history and group-chat information may remain available until the relevant event or account is deleted.
We do not retain a complete event-by-event location trail. However, panic-alert location snapshots may be retained until the related event or account is deleted.
8. Account Deletion and Your Choices
You can delete your account through the Settings area of the app.
When you delete your account, we delete your profile, authentication record, created events, event memberships, activity records, and sent notifications from our active systems.
Certain information may remain in other users’ events or in technical storage systems where immediate removal is not feasible, including possible profile-photo storage files. We may also retain information where required or permitted by law.
Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. To cancel a subscription, you must use the cancellation tools provided through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
You may also:
- Replace your profile picture
- Manage notification permissions through your device settings
- Manage location permissions through your device settings
- Leave an event or group where that option is available
- Request access to or correction of personal information, subject to applicable law
Deleting the app from your device does not automatically delete your account or cancel your subscription.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information.
Information is transmitted using HTTPS/TLS encryption. Our service providers use their standard security measures for data stored on their systems. We do not currently apply separate app-level encryption to chat records or location records.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
10. Children and Minors
Made It Home is intended for individuals who are 18 years of age or older.
We do not intend for minors to create their own accounts. However, a parent or legal guardian may use the Service to create or manage an event involving their minor child, provided the parent or guardian has the legal authority to share and manage that child’s information, including location-related information.
If we learn that a person under 18 has created an account without appropriate authorization, we may delete the account and related information.
11. International Data Transfers
We may process and store personal information in Canada, the United States, and other countries where Gigi Digital or its service providers operate.
Privacy laws in these countries may differ from the laws in your province, state, or country of residence. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed outside your jurisdiction.
12. Canadian Privacy Rights
If you are located in Canada, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or withdrawal of consent for certain uses of your personal information, subject to legal and contractual restrictions.
To make a privacy request, contact us using the information below. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
13. California and Other Regional Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, including rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain information about certain personal-information practices.
We will respond to qualifying requests as required by applicable law.
14. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party services, including app stores, cloud infrastructure providers, authentication providers, notification providers, mapping providers, and subscription-management providers.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices, reliability, availability, security, or accuracy of third-party services. Their treatment of information is governed by their own policies and terms.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above.
If we make a material change, we may provide notice through the Service or by another reasonable method.
